This series is inspired by the words of blame and encouragement I received from my parents. Whenever I was scolded, I felt both my body and spirit wounded. I came to realize that hurtful words can cut into the heart like sharp blades—but swords, spears, or guns felt too grand and impersonal to represent them.
It wasn’t until I noticed how saliva flies when we speak angrily that I understood: the true weapons of language are more like daggers or throwing knives—small, sudden, and often unnoticed until they land.
While reflecting on the violence of words, I also began to observe the gentler ones—encouragements, small acts of care. Sometimes, what seems insignificant to one person can be a powerful comfort to another. It reminded me of the tiny candies offered at shop counters: simple, easy to overlook, yet capable of bringing unexpected joy.
Through this series, I hope viewers can feel the dual nature of language—its ability to both wound and heal—and reflect on how words take form, not just as sound, but as force.
